There is an old proverb that says “No News is Good News”. Why is it then that when I don’t hear from family I most often think it must be bad news. I’m a Mother so suppose there is always a bit of worry about family . My family seems to resist sharing troubles with each other. Rather than asking and receiving support they are more concerned about “airing their dirty laundry”. Some of it is the Scotch Irish culture of Independence. I can take care of myself thank you very much. And so they shut down, pretend that all is well when it is not. Now there I go again, assuming that all is not well. So, I turn to the blog as it is the next best thing to a real human with whom I can share concerns.
