Dishwasher, Air Conditioners – like old marriages

Yesterday I blogged about the failure of twenty year marriages.    So, having just replaced a twenty year plus air conditioner at the tune of $5400 and this morning the old Maytag dishwasher  is making clanking noises leads me to believe that it doesn’t matter whether the subject is human or mechanical they all wear out in time.
My husband says not to give up on the dishwasher.   We’ve already replaced the air conditioner.   Leaving for a new partner or going into marital therapy, all sounds the same to me.
