Just read an article by T. Coates in Atlantic magazine, 2014, entitled “The case for Reparations”. He makes a good case. How would we do that as a nation? Who knows, however, I’m of the opinion that we have to step up to the plate, own up to the horror of how we have treated Black people and start looking at options. If we can send men to the moon, invent computers that can run the world then we certainly should be able to tackle this problem. Nothing will ever erase what has been done, but making amends is a first step. I for one would like to see this ship turn around toward hope rather than despair.
